Second Skin, a fascinating documentary that follows the complex lives of seven people who delve into the world of MMORPGs (Massively Mulitplayer Online Role Playing Games), is having its NYC theatrical premiere on Friday, Sept. 5th, and I highly recommend that anyone who can attend do so.
This is the first movie I’ve seen that really explores the extent to which our world of flesh is affected by the virtual ones inhabited by millions of people every day. Crippling addictions, rollercoaster love affairs, and the birth of entire new economies are just some of the shockwaves carried over from these pixelated realms.
And tune into the next episode of THE FOLD on Sept. 1 to see just how hot the blurring of these two worlds can be! Meatware beware!
