One of the essential horror sites is BEST-HORROR-MOVIES.COM with its super-popular OSSUARY. HERE’S DON SUMNER on THE FOLD:

“The episodes reach out from the computer screen, grab your attention, assault the senses and then kindly offer a wet towel before rolling the credits. When each episode draws to a close a desperate “Nooooo!” escapes the lips - you want more… Quite a feat in a world where the “back” button is only to easy to reach and is used liberally. Definitely not horror… maybe Sci-Fi… Absolutely fun.”

We love FLESHBOT. Who doesn’t? The wonderful FLESHBOT writer, LUX NIGHTMARE, reviewed THE FOLD for FLESHBOT here.

“Featuring some of our favorite New York performers (including Porno Jim and Julie Atlas Muz), and enough plot twists to keep your head spinning for days, “The Fold” is a must-see for this season.”

QUIET EARTH is a great movie site “dedicated to Genre Film and everything Post Apocalyptic.” And as far as we’re concerned, that’s all that really matters in movies! They’re written up THE FOLD here.

“The Fold looks like it could go the way of underground cult hit, what with the scifi, the time traveling, and the over the top hedonism.”

THE FOLD is not like any sci fi show I’d ever watched. The hot tub makes the perfect setting for this unique blend of science fiction, cult sex, and mystery all twisted up with Aspergers Syndrome, blackmail, extortion…. There is a hint of a dark power drawing attention to the hot tub. Watch what Jef can do with 2 women at the same time. Oh the magical wonder of the hot tub! Great Job!” John Crawford, THE CARTOUCHE SCI-FI TV

Thank you! But when it’s actor JAKE THOMAS (above) playing JEF GARAWAY in the hot tub, women just naturally jump in.

“If you like biting satire, and the occasional bare breasts and wanton sex (ala “Barbarella”), then “The Fold” could be right up your alley!” Samuel Sloan, Slice of SciFi.

Reading this in a review thrilled us because Matt Lambert, Ray Sawhill and I all love the 1968 Roger Vadim film, Barbarella, which starred Jane Fonda before Tom Hayden and the Jane Fonda Workout. We’re not entirely sure that Sloan found that comparison a plus, but we certainly do!

Jane! When are you going to realize that Barbarella was some of your best work as an actor?

JAHSONIC, a Belgian art-and-popular culture blog says about THE FOLD:

“It is an erotically-based science fiction series which content-wise comes close to ribaldry (think Pasolini’s Trilogy of Life); while it has an artistic insouciance of an apparent Corman heritage.”

PETER SYSLO reviews THE FOLD on INFERNAL DREAMS:

“The production value of the series is really incredible for working with a smaller budget. Along with the directing, this success of this production is also due to the excellent cinematography; the scenes are beautifully shot and they look like a much higher-budget production. Honestly, the thing looks as good as BATTLESTAR, THE LEXX, STAR TREK (any of the franchise), or DR. WHO (recent series). The acting is also very impressive.”
